I have narrow feet and have tried both true to size (US 8.5) and half size up (9). At half size up these are excellent boots though have a different feel from the original HyperKO. The original HyperKO were better for being light on your feet, pivots and bumps felt really natural and fun. The HyperKO 2’s feel more comfortable for measured steps, planting and throwing with stability. This is in part due to the weight, with the second iteration being slightly heavier. The 2’s design make it feel less like a speed boot and more like a supportive sock - movement translation is lost without the rigidity of the boot. Bottom line: buy these for the stability not mobility. Sizing up 1/2 size made a complete difference. I gave these 4 stars compared to 5 for the hyperko 1s.
